The Dish D.Z. Akin's celebrates National Deli Month every day in August

Blade 1936 will open its doors in late September. With a menu crafted by chef and partner Mario Cassineri, the restaurant’s name is a tribute to Oceanside’s old newspaper, The Blade-Tribune, which occupied the space from 1936 until the 1960s. The historic structure will be revived into an
Italian haven with rustic wood and steel elements, while preserving the integrity of the building. Partner and general manager John Carlo Ferraiuolo (Caffè Calabria, Red Oven) will use a custom- made Stefano Ferrara brick pizza oven to cook up pies — from a traditional margherita pizza to a signature mimosa topped with cream, prosciutto cotto, corn and fior di latte cheese. The menu
also includes pastas, desserts and a full bar. 401 Seagaze Drive, Oceanside.
